Accounting Manager, Altoona, PA Office


Job Summary:
The EADS Group, Inc. which began operation in 1955 has an immediate opening for an experienced full-time Accounting Manager located in our Corporate office location at Altoona, PA. This position supervises and is responsible for overseeing day to day operations of the corporate accounting department in the preparation of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions. The Accounting Manager produces general ledger and associated financial reports; develops and implements improvements to internal controls; provides CFO and President with guidance on financial matters; preparation of periodic financial statements and reports; coordinate and assist external accountant with tax filings and external audit preparation; provide supervision and training to internal accounting; and operates and acts as resources for both internal and accounting staff for the centralized accounting and management system.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field. 

• Strong oral and written communications skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with both in-office and remote staff.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to plan and execute special projects is highly desired.

• Registration as a Certified Public Accountant is desired.
