Manager of Design Technology
Job Summary:
The EADS Group, Inc., which began operation in 1955 is actively seeking a Manager of Design Technology to be part of our growing multi-discipline consulting engineering and architecture practice. This is a full-time position that reports to the President and CEO of the corporation. The Manager of Design Technology focuses on strategy development, technical support, training, and research and development on both existing and future digital design and productivity technologies for use within our organization.
Position responsibilities include:
• Develop and implement process improvements to increase project delivery efficiency and quality
• Provide development, implementation and training for project templates and workflows
• Research new and innovative technologies and develop strategies for implementation within our practice
• Provide technical assistance and mentoring to project teams
• Provide effective training to technical staff for efficient utilization on projects
• Work collaboratively with corporate information technology staff to define and implement improvements to our IT infrastructure to enhance our use of digital design and productivity technology
The ideal candidate will have strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization with both in-office and remote staff. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including creative thinking and innovation are required. Strong and practical background with Autodesk, Bentley or other digital design and productivity technology products is necessary. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical or design field and 5-10 years of relevant experience is strongly desired. Preferred relevant experience includes technical design and project management with an in-depth understanding of engineering and architecture project delivery. Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
Current major software applications utilized by our organization include Office 365, TEAMS, Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads, Bentley OpenFlows, ESRI ArcGIS, and Carlson Survey.
