Job Summary:

The EADS Group, Inc. which began operation in 1955 is actively seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Technician to be part of our growing multi-discipline consulting engineering firm. As part of this growth we are accepting applications for a Civil Engineering Technician to work at our newest office location in Morgantown, WV. Civil Engineering Technicians support our current clients and workload including municipal engineering, natural gas distribution systems, site development design and transportation.


Under the direction of a Project Manager, Civil Engineering Technicians are responsible for the preparation of design deliverables, permit application packages, report preparation, data analysis and field investigations and inspections.


Here’s what you’ll need:

• Experienced candidates will have 5 years’ experience in underground utility design or site development projects.

Desired qualifications include experience with regulatory permitting, drawing preparation, project cost estimating, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other engineering software including Autodesk Civil 3D.

Entry-level candidates will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office. 


Here’s what we’d like to see:

• The preferred candidate will have an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science or a related field.

Experience with AutoCAD or ESRI software is a plus.

Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills desired.
