Job Summary:
The EADS Group, Inc., is actively seeking a full-time Water and Wastewater Operator-In-Training in the Johnstown, PA office. Water and Wastewater Systems Operator-In-Training is responsible to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled technical and maintenance work in the operation, maintenance and repair of water and wastewater treatment facilities and systems under supervision of a licensed Water/Wastewater Systems Operator.
Applicants must have the ability to learn process control calculation(s), work safely, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, have the ability to understand and carry out written and oral instruction(s), and operate motorized vehicles, various tools and lab equipment and working knowledge of computers. The position requires heavy lifting, climbing, good eyesight and color perception, bending, stretching and standing.
Successful applicants will have a High School diploma or equivalency, Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license, ability to obtain a Pennsylvania Water, Wastewater, Collections and/or Distribution License, successfully complete a background check, and work outside of typical business hours when required to do so including nights, weekends and holidays and periodically be available by cell phone and able to work when directed to be “on-call” by his/her supervisor.
